What the fucketing fuck? I’m sure she thinks she’s oh so radical and is “speaking truth to power” by saying such nauseating bullshit.

AFAIAA, there is still no conclusive evidence as to who was responsible for the DNC hack. There was some suggestion of a Russian connection, but it was not proven and, even if it were, Russian ≠ Russian government.

From what I’ve seen, they spent very little; thousands, not millions. In an election involving billions. The ads being cited in the media reports had trivially small exposure.

And, again, Russian ≠ Russian government. Trump getting one of his dodgy Russian mates to kick in a bit of electoral advertising is not the same as a state subversion attempt.

The nature of the cited ads also makes me wonder if they had any political intention at all. The reported unfocused scattering of ideologically inconsistent memes leads me to question if it was just someone using them as spam or malware delivery mechanisms.

There’s definitely something going on between Trump and Putin; Trump’s own behaviour makes that clear. But that does not require a Russian plot to interfere with the election.

There’s also the issues that:

  1. The CorpDems are blatantly using Russiagate as cover for their own corruption.

  2. Russiagate obsession is the primary factor suppressing middle class resistance.

  3. Even if all of the Russiagate paranoia were true, it doesn’t change the fact that American fascism is a home-grown creation of America. The problem is inside the house.

Trumpy threatening to start a trade war with every country that has socialised medicine.

I’m not going to disagree with your fundamental conclusions here, because we agree Russiagate is overblown and an obsession that is hurting any progress against American-made facism - but we make very strong judgements on less evidence than there is surrounding the DNC hack and Trump’s ties to Russian oligarchs.

If you launched a massive and sophisticated campaign along those lines, it might have some effect. But they didn’t: instead, it was a small number of crude memes that had relatively little exposure.

There’s also the important point that the Establishment Dem theme of “all of this racial tension was created by Russia!” is horrifically clueless and privileged. And echoes a long and nasty history.

No Russian memes were required to set the country boiling. Home-grown white supremacy and plutocracy saw to that.

“Have died”.

What would they do without passive voice?
