I am seeing this kind of “Fuck you Bernie voters/third-party voters/white-women-Trump voters, this is all your fault” talk just about everywhere, and pardon the language, but it is really pissing me off.
Yeah, Trump got elected and that was a bad thing. But that’s over and done with. We’ve got way too much to deal with RIGHT NOW to keep bashing each other with two-year-old grudges. Do they truly not realize that all this infighting only makes the Trumpanzees laugh? They’re enjoying the division-- because it makes it easier to enact their agenda.
But nooooo, it’s apparently far more important to sling blame at everyone else than band together and do something constructive like calling Congresscritters or protesting or organizing. It’s more important to be right than to try to fix what’s wrong. I can’t say, don’t be mad; I’m mad as hell at how fucked up our country is. But this “circular firing squad” only does the real enemies’ work for them.
So please forgive me, but my reply can only be: fuck that noise with a rusty chainsaw dripping in habañero sauce. Fight Trump, fight the GOP, fight the fascists and the white supremacists. Quit fighting with your potential allies– unless “being right” is more important to you than losing our country.
(Apologies for the ranting and language… I shouldn’t post when I’m insomniac and pissed off… but even if this isn’t the right way to say it, I think it needs to be said. And maybe now I can get some sleep.)
It isn’t just die-hard Clintonites being obnoxious; it’s being deliberately fomented by the Correct the Record bot networks. Sally Albright etc.
They’ve been doing it non-stop since the election. It’s a deliberate tactic to disrupt reform within the Democratic Party.
Glenn had a nice little rant thread today:
It’s funny how many of the same fights are happening:
- Should we continue to let bigots incarcerate and kill brown people?
- Should we have a national health service?
- Should we educate kids with science, history and art or let religious authoritarians continue to rule our schools?
- Should we hem and haw about which side of the wars to fight on?
- Should we hold off on starting another colonial war in Korea?
