I just cannot gin up any anger toward these guys (internet sleuths). This guy and those of his ilk have profited off of death for far too long while charging insanely high premiums to pay for yachts and private jets. I hate them with a burning passion. They make my work so much harder and more frustrating than it needs to be, and just add to the burden and burn out that we are all dealing with. But the investors love them, i guess.
Another thought: if you’re expecting 120V and are getting 210V, then you could have ended up bridging two phases of a three-phase supply.
Two phases of 120V 120 degrees apart would give an overall voltage of 208V, a reading of 210 is close enough for this to be true. Perhaps the lightning has fried either the step-down transformer or something in the panel if you have multi phase service.
That was what i thought had happened, but the electricians said it was a floating ground. My mind immediately went “like in Avatar?” But as we have established, i am a damned good pediatrician, but what i know about electrical stuff could fit on a postage stamp. Quick rewire of the circuit and coming back Monday to make sure that was the only one like that. But we have heat again, so there is that.
Well, maybe the investors can go find the guy then…
Oh, it could fit much smaller than that! Microchips now are so miniaturized that if they made the circuits any tinier, electrons wouldn’t stay on their wires due to quantum tunneling.
Your old 1930ies electrons may be tunnelling; modern 21st century electrons are hyperlooping.
So the McDonald’s where the guy got caught is now getting reviews saying that it has rats. (And snitches)
This guy apparently put a fair bit of thought and planning into this murder, but jeez, he seems to have made a lot of really dumb mistakes. He must have known that there was a national manhunt for him, but he still kept the fake ID that he used to check into the NY hostel and he also kept the murder weapon?? (A ghost gun with a supressor. Enough to get him arrested even if he hadn’t been suspected of murder.) With such a high profile murder he was probably going to get caught eventually no matter what, but is he trying to make the job of the prosecutors as easy as possible?
I’m beginning to wonder if he did want to get caught but wanted it to take a few days, get everyone interested in the hunt. Then use the trial as another way to amplify the message healthcare insurers are parasites that kill way too many people
That’s a very real possibility. Maybe not as stupid as he currently appears to be.
We literally can’t have anything nice, can we?
These are great too.
I have one of these (different color though):
I got it for under $20.
I never understood the Stanley craze.
Maybe they should? It’s been urinated in repeatedly, defecated in at least once, chipped two teeth of a player, used as a dog dish, and had all manner of other misadventures. Yet people keep insisting on drinking out of it…
