Iāve been hoping it was a trial run that would conclude in reversion to the previous standard.
To be honest, I didnāt like the old theme too much either.
I just hope they donāt tamper with All Thingās Considered theme. That one is perfection.
The old theme felt comforting to me. The new one sounds like itās from a kids news show on Nick Jr.
That being said, a lot of the hue and cry over this just seems to be people who are set in their ways. The old theme getting phased out is no big deal. I just wish they replaced it with something that didnāt suck.
Cardinal Konrad Krajewski said he acted in ādesperationā because the occupants of the state-owned property had spent a week without power and hot water.
Activists have been using the building to provide shelter for the homeless.
Matteo Salvini, Italyās populist deputy prime minister, has said he now expects the papal aide to pay the overdue utility bills, according to the Italian daily La Repubblica.
āI didnāt do it because I was drunk,ā he reportedly added.
There are much worse things that you could do while drunk.
Coin expert Julian Bowsher, of MOLA Headland Infrastructure, said: āRoman emperors were very keen to mint coins - Laelianus reigned for just two months which is barely enough time to do so. The fact that one of these coins ever reached the shores of Britain demonstrates remarkable efficiency and thereās every chance that Laelianus had been killed by the time this coin arrived in Cambridgeshire.ā
Another unusual coin discovered during the dig was a Gallic War Uniface coin, minted in 57BC by the Ambiani tribe in the Somme area of modern-day France. Experts believe it was exported to help fund the British Celtic resistance to Julius Caesar.
The A14 roadworks have also uncovered the remains of an Ice Age woolly mammoth and evidence of beer brewing dating to about 400BC.
It has also unearthed prehistoric henges, Iron Age settlements, Roman kilns, three Anglo-Saxon villages and a medieval hamlet.
I more listen to videos than watch, but an interesting video-essay on listening in conversation:
My professor of Roman History is one of the top coin collectors of Roman coins. He frequently brought in slides of his collection and showed how the artwork on the coins reflected the images the emperors were trying to project to the public.
To hear his EXCELLENT and amazing lectures, he is one of the top sellers on The Great Courses site - anything by Kenneth Harl.

āThe stars are raining down upon me. I know this is not true but it is the truth.ā
I like it.
https://krebsonsecurity.com/2019/05/account-hijacking-forum-ogusers-hacked/
Ogusers[.]com ā a forum popular among people involved in hijacking online accounts and conducting SIM swapping attacks to seize control over victimsā phone numbers ā has itself been hacked, exposing the email addresses, hashed passwords, IP addresses and private messages for nearly 113,000 forum users.
Krebs describes SIMSwapping as āa form of fraud in which scammers bribe or trick employees at mobile phone stores into seizing control of the targetās phone number and diverting all texts and phone calls to the attackerās mobile device.ā
113,000 people are interested in that shit? Thatās justā¦ugh.
Oh, barf-o-rama.
Limited edition this time, so it wonāt nearly destroy the company this timeā¦ though it might test the limits of nostalgia! But at the same time, its limited edition, so people might rush right out and try to find the special vending machinesā¦ I guess, given my proximity, if I were so inclined, I could get tickets for the world of coke to get someā¦
Iām actually a little more excited by the glass bottles for coke and coke zero.
In the summer of 1985, not only did I lose original Coke, but my right to drink beer was rescinded too (phasing in the new drinking laws).
Not only my problems, but so much crap about that year.
At least now Iām drinking liters of Mexican Coke at only 75 cents a pop.
You know, I can get mexican coke here, but I never buy it. Maybe Iāll pick up a couple of bottles this weekā¦ although I doubt theyāll be $.75!
