Well this is interesting

Mom: (walks into hardware store) “Hi, I’d like to get this key duplicated.”
Employee: (looks at key) “OK, sure. Do you want ‘DO NOT DUPLICATE’ stamped on it, like this one?”
Mom: “Oh, uh, that’s not necessary.”

the seemingly innocuous volume of car traffic

I take i they’ve never collapsed from the noise of cars driving by? or of brake squeels, horns, and the rest? they can’t be including the sirens can they?

Fred at Slacktivist wrote a succinct summary of how the End Times/Biblical Prophecy people get things seriously wrong. Figured it might be good ammunition as people go home to be with family for Thanksgiving:

I love my family, we’re all on the same page as far as (no) religion. Plus, we do thanksgiving on veterans day weekend, so no one has to travel during the crazy travel crunch.

But, I’m always up for articles by Fred

I felt a bit of sympathy for him, until I got to this part:

Egon Krenz still takes an interest in politics. And still supports Moscow.

“After weak presidents like Gorbachev and Yeltsin, it is a great fortune for Russia that it has [President Vladimir] Putin.” He insists the Cold War never ended, but instead is “being fought now with different methods”.

It’s a true statement…which makes it especially chilling.

Except now instead of communist sympathizers we have powerful corrupt rich folks who’d love to make western democracies like Putin’s. Seems to me they’re doing a much better job.

My technique has always been to write something official-looking on a company letterhead that identifies me as legit, and includes instructions to stamp the letter with the store stamp and keep a copy. It might be overkill, but it’s never failed me.

Mostly for cute factor:

Tawny Frogmouths are an Oz bush staple, and their camouflage really is astonishing. They’re octopus-like in their ability at shapeshifting mimickry.

tldr:

  1. No more occupying fixed locations; instead, shift and flow “like water”.
  2. Devolve leadership to smaller groups and a variety of individuals over time.
  3. Rather than rely on centralized communications (Telegram) use phone-to-phone and local broadcasts (AirDrop).
  4. Use supply lines and hand signals to move supplies to the front.
  5. Neutralize tear gas: contain it, throw it, douse it.
  6. Move without stampede by counting together out loud.
  7. Crowdfunding for getting the message out.

What do you think it says about our society that the top 10 all-time most read porno stories on literotica all involve incest?

Considering incest’s prevalence in so many mythologies/religions and legends/folk tales makes me think this is no big deal. People like to read about taboos being broken.

Yeah, I know. I’m quite elevating Literotica’s content.

Yeah, but all of em? I think there’s more to it than that.
