Wherever Steve Irwin is, heās grinning from ear to ear! Could you imagine his commentary on this?
Yeah, I was gonna post about it, but didnāt hit the reply buttonā¦cos I went grocery-shopping. I totally forgot, out of my excitement of having my new MI Bridge card.
I was on this morning for a little while, when I woke up early at 7:30 am EST and it was fine.
Hmmmā¦ Iām seeing speculation on Twitter that this was a deliberate attempt to distract from the whistleblower scandal thatās just come out, plus all the recently increased criticism of Facebookās business practices. (I also wouldnāt be surprised if it wasnāt a quiet threat-- ālook what happens to your pics and data if we go under? Be a shame if anything happened to usā¦ā)
I stay off FB as much as possible, but one side of my family has a Group for sharing pics and such that Iād hate to see disappear. I canāt stand to be on it often, thanks to my more conservative relatives posting their miscellaneous political and Covid bullshit, but I know many of my family use FB and Messenger to keep in contact. Iām hoping my relatives might consider an alternative, but I doubt they will.
Iām hooked as sure as Janis was on heroin. I wouldnāt have gotten the painting gig if I didnāt have some of my stuff posted on Marketplace, which charges no $$ for me to do so. And I canāt put money into another sales site right now; thereās always stuff thatās needed around the house.
I figured that would be it, but that it woulda been like immediately after that w.b. story broke out.
(And is there any hope to be found after the revelations of the Pandora Papers and the fallout occurring due to same? Hmā¦)
I donāt blame you, or anybody who uses FB or WhatsApp or Insta; flawed as they are, those services provide much-needed connections to the world around us. Iām just not fond of the way the sites are being twisted and manipulated for profit and greedās sake. Iām not sure what the best way to fix the problems are, either, but itās becoming pretty clear something needs to happen, because so many people do rely on these sites and they arenāt being run in a responsible manner.
Substitute āgovernmentā for āsitesāā¦LOL!
I have a morbid curiosity of nuclear disasters. I suppose growing up in the 60ās has something to do with it.
Thank you SO much!
addendum: iāve been fascinated by maps and charts ever since I can remember.
river basins of most every nation, state and continent. Some are a bit boring.
and some seem woefully incomplete
