Very true… it’s just too bad how many of the stories from that era are missing. I’m glad they’ve been able to reconstruct some of them, but tons of material from the Hartnell and Troughton era are just gone, sadly.
Yesterday I made the mistake of watching The Pitt backwards. I had already watched the first two episodes and decided to move the fictional clock forward and skip straight to the last available episode. I know spoilers are taboo for a lot of people, but there’s no way around it. This episode was very tense. It felt like an action series with drama and growing tension. The situations experienced by the hospital staff were inconceivable, but they happen daily in my city, on a much smaller scale.
That said, I made my second mistake of the night and binge-watched the drama of the doctors at that university hospital in the correct chronological order. When I realized it, it was already dawn. Thank God today is Sunday.
The most recent episode was the third hour of dealing with the mass shooting, so yeah, a particularly bad time to watch out of chronological order!
Thoughts on SNL this week?
Goth kid on vacation was pretty funny…
But also… Jack Black was a dick for what he did about his band mate.
What did he do to his band mate?
Kyle Glass made some anti-trump remarks at a show about the attempted assassination attempt on Trump, so Black put the tour on hold…
But apparently, they’ve been making music together again, so… It was still a dick move on Black’s part, even if it was a bit of a gallows humor kind of joke.
Thanks for the explanation
A Brand New japanese Cartoon from the same Guy behind cowboy bebop. I watched the very First episode and It seems like a Spy/sci-fi/action piece. As I am not a great fan of japanese cartoons, I must admit the overall visual of this one had impressed me.
anyone else watching this?
fantastically quirky and absurd. at times i feel i’m watching a Wes Anderson production, other times it seems like Only Murders in the Building. all mixed with a Poirot/ Agatha Christie vibe.
this is great fun!
Uzo Aduba is simply fantastic in her role as Detective Cordelia Cupp. Brava!
Not yet, but it’s now on my list for whenever we get Netflix again. Thanks!
OK then, I guess I am now!
This was one that was recommended to me by an algorithm and I thought, “Ok, high school Saturday detention Breakfast Club meets serial killer movie, only with rich snobby kids and one outcast normal kid? I know what to expect from that, so why not?”
It was quite a bit more fun than I expected. So many questions raised throughout the movie, and it kept you guessing right up until the very last minute. Every time you think you knew what to expect, nope. That thing that happened in the middle of the movie and then just wasn’t addressed again? Yeah, there’s a payoff eventually. Then it all came together at the end quite nicely.
Apparently it’s a sequel, so now I need to watch the first.
It has very mixed reviews. Maybe it’s a love it or hate it thing.
This wasn’t even on my radar, but noticed the trailer and decided to check it out. Looks pretty good, looking forward to watching it
WOW! These are all such good movies! Any of these you haven’t seen, totally watch!!

Is there a movie recommend thread? I didn’t find one. Anyway, today I watched:
AKA: Sky TV rips off Bullet Train
Well guess what? I enjoyed it way more than Bullet Train! Josh > Brad in my book. It was consistently funny, inventive and brutal. Best action comedy in a while and worth your time if you like that kind of thing!

But, I suppose screens is screens these days.
Good for Martha Wells! She had some fantasies out in the early 2000s and then disappeared; I thought she’d stopped writing, and then the Murderbot Diaries appeared.
