I’ve seen short bits of the old series, but never really got into it. This video reminds me why.
OTOH, weed becomes legal in Canada next Wednesday, so never say never, I guess.

I’m still watching, but still facepalming over the constant and high in quantity gimmies the characters never take advantage of. It’s become more rubbernecking than genuine interest at this point.
I am glad they finally took care of Gregory, though. What a waste of space.
We are watching Demob, a comedy/drama from 1993. It stars Griff Rhys Jones and an actually pretty handsome Martin Clunes (of Doc Martin fame). I wish they had done more than 6 episodes though. It’s really good.
Aaaaand Netflix has officially canceled Iron Fist.
golf clap
Rewatched The Shining, which is still a wonderful film. Still, has the stupid and offensive magical negro trope, but still incredibly creepy and frightening anyway.
(There is a long thread of these.)
We finished the series. Despite only one season it seemed fairly self-contained. One flaw was that there were gaps in the plot that made it a little confusing. The characters were well thought out and sympathetic though. And I liked the post war English setting.
Yes! Are You Afraid of the Dark was a staple of my childhood.
Late for this… I like the choice of music considering one of the jokes in the book.
Also I like the extra dialog they are giving the two agents on earth.
Yes… that about sums it up. I still love it though.
Who has it streaming?
Debra Harkness, whose also a history professor, gave a talk at GSU not too long ago. She was quite lovely.
This movie was creepy as fuck…
Very subtle, and it builds through the whole thing.
I found it on one of my pirating services; can send you the link if you like.
Have you seen…
Another contender in the CAF sweepstakes.
I’m sure it will crop up on something soon enough, but I’ll let you know!
The first ep of the reboot of Charmed went in on 45 and the current political climate.
I’m watching the Great Canadian Bake Off (Canadian version of the GBBO). They’ve copied the best bits of the British version and yet somehow made it totally Canuck, which is fun. I would totally have all the contestants over for tea.
Even though all these people are way better bakers than I’ll ever be, I can really empathise with the disasters.
Update: Wendy AND Anne Marie are both gone and it’s not even ep5??? It’s a central-west conspiracy against the Maritimes!
Or ageist, since they were the two oldest ladies. Perhaps both.
Just the title is terrifying
— and then you find out Snooki is in it
