This is neat, hopefully I have time tomorrow to listen some of it
Iâm moving this project to Mixcloud. Soundcloud doesnât offer enough space on the free tier for any future installments.
I need to listen to this soon!
Two bands from the â80s I like are Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, and Group 87. I donât know if they fall into your preferred category or not.
I listened to it yesterday while playing some No Manâs Sky on Sunday. Pretty fun mix
Thereâs a lot of OMD coming up soon!
Thanks!
Nice user name. Say hi to John Bigbooté and Dr. Lizardo for me.
I really enjoyed listening to this! I was doing lab testing work and caught myself singing âI just canât get enoughâŠI just canât get enoughâŠâ. Thank you for sharing it with us!
From i09?
yoyodyne.
They both used to be commenters on Gizmodoâs i09 site as well.
yup.
that takes me back to a timeâŠ
âoh, my sweet summer childâŠâ
A more innocent time; before Hulk Hogan and Peter Thiel took Gawker down.
Just before we moved i took down a dogwood tree in our old yard that had died of the dogwood plague we have up here. Kept a few large chunks and dried them out. A bit over a year later, i decided to use some to turn a small bowl. I watch a lot of woodturning videos, and never saw anyone turn dogwood.
Now i know why! This is incredibly hard, tough wood. In fact, the only use i had previously seen was using it to make a maul and splitting wedges. I think i understand.
Yeah i enjoyed it a lot, also funny enough i had never heard Tom Tom Club - Genius of Love. Of course i recognize it from Mariah Careyâs song Fantasy, though never questioned that beat being a sample in the first place so it was fun listening to Tom Tom Clubâs song and getting that context.
That thereâs a handsome bowl, if you ever wanna get rid of it let me know
Buckaroo Banzai.
@KeybillyJefe Bully to you!
I havenât been good about letting you know, but every one of your cards makes my days brighter. Brings some of that Keys sunshine to our gloomy Maine âspring.â
@noahdjango - when can you come live at my house and make it pretty? Your work always looks so clean. I wants.
Oh yeah, I do know that (John Lithgow as Dr. Lizardo), but there were two i09 commenters, at least, Dr. Lizardo, was one, now Iâm not sure about John BigbootĂ©
