He really doesn’t. I wrote a letter, as in spent forty-nine cents on a stamp and used a fountain pen and decorated the envelope with a fountain pen image, suggesting to him that ten year bans were completely out of line, letting him know I met Mark F. and Carla S. decades ago, and sharing some context with him to coax him to change his mind. He did not acknowledge nor respond to my letter. A decent person would do either or both. Dick Van Dyke, a busier, happier person, could manage mailing me something, so JLW has only his personality as an excuse.

It’s been a huge relief. You all are so important to me. It is so great to have a group to share with. I have a great group of yoga people that supports me, but for the techie/geekie/cool side of me, this group is the one who “gets” me in a way that other people don’t.
For me, I no longer felt that the hosts at BB were keeping my identity safe. Every time they’d post an article that would drive the trolls and sockpuppets to the site, my blood pressure would go up, thinking just one asshole was going to one day go back through all my history and piece together so much of my life and target me. Fortunately people are lazy.
It’s been so nice to be here where we are not deliberately drawing in the worst of the 'Net.
