World politics

Where did I hear that “kids these days” aren’t even using google or wikipedia to research anymore, bad as that was, now they are searching ChatGPT and using those answers in class? At least google might turn up things from the Mayo Clinic, or other reputable sources.

I have a couple of online friends on other forums that are university instructors; maybe I heard it from them.

I would argue not even that. He acts like a spoiled toddler who wants all his toys right now!! And will throw an absolute screaming fit at any sign of adults trying to place limits on his wants. All he knows is “I want that!!” And therefore, he feels it is his right to have it. As a toddler, that’s an expected stage of development they should grow out of. As an adult, it’s just arrested development leading to severe asshat syndrome.

Foreign policy seems to be a retreat for many heads of government when their local agenda is going sideways, and the :us: President has a lot of leeway in foreign policy. It usually happens later in the term, though.

That said, he may be the first :us: President to be left to walk the steps down to the runway in a snow squall to empty tarmac.
