And now I must watch that DS9 episode again. It’s a rule.
(At least it’s one of the best episodes!)
Indeed. I show that to my US history class every semester, along with a reading by Samuel Delaney on racism in science fiction. Fits well together. This year, I’m pairing it with a biographical sketch of Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas.
I would really enjoy sitting in on that. In my Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Romance course Star Trek was represented by City on the Edge of Forever. I know it’s considered classic TOS Trek – Harlan Ellison etc – but it lacks a certain… resonance, shall we say, not least because Joan Collins’ character basically gets fridged. I’d have to re-watch the series to figure out which episode I’d nominate instead.
Never had the opportunity. Pity. I love seeing wingnut 'splodey-heads.
Give it some time and effort - I have faith in you. Then I’ll be able to break out the popcorn while you cause a whole bunch of wingnut 'splodey-heads. That will be so much fun!
Old-school Trek only did romance as tragedy, basically.
Bobi Wine has been re-arrested.

Well shit, Thanos should wipe out all of humanity rather than half.
I don’t know specifically why you are saying that, but I tend to agree.
