The excuse the police gave for trying to ban the Oz BLM protests was that it was an unacceptable Covid risk, even if all the protesters wore masks.
Pretty much all of the protesters did wear masks. The cops, OTOH…
The protests went off entirely peacefully, and the huge crowds headed home. But then the Sydney police kettled the last handful of protesters at the train station (now that the cops were no longer outnumbered), and did this:
