I don’t see him as a fantasist. The RF now has about the economic clout of Italy. What he wants is surely a way to get economic growth without surrendering strategic assets like Crimea.

If you are not participating in the violence and are not able to reasonable stop the violence then what is left than to record the faces and actions of the violent people in the hope that it might help hold them accountable later?
Although, with that said, some of the people you see recording these sorts of things seems to more excited about likes, views and going viral than about holding violent people accountable.

That was a fucked-up speech. I kept waiting for him to talk about beautiful Heather or something equally fucking creepy, but he didn’t. At least Heather Heyer’s mother never has to hear her daughter’s name come out of his filthy fucking mouth. I keep putting myself in her shoes, and I don’t think I would ever be able to stomach hearing Donald Trump say my daughter’s name.

I keep thinking of when Bill Clinton fired his surgeon general. Do you remember? She was being interviewed about teen pregnancy (or something) and she said that masturbation was something that “perhaps should be taught.” She clearly meant “discussed in sex ed classes,” but it sounded enough like “demonstrate the mechanics of” that Clinton felt like he had to fire her to quell the uproar.
