It’s outside my expertise. All I know is that the shellfish out here are huge and underutilized. You can pretty much walk up to any jetty at low tide on the Oregon Coast with a prybar and collect mussels bigger than your hand all day. I keep forgetting to bring mine when I go to the coast. I’ve done it before and it’s delicious. I want to combine mussels, sea beans, and frites as a meal one day.

Three different advocacy organisations representing military families said they had heard from dozens of affected service members who expressed discomfort about being drawn into a domestic policing operation outside their normal field of operations.
