Per wiki’s vitae, Pedro may have been “pre-loaded” as a non-asshole into the bigger world:
He has… a younger sister named Lux who is [a] transgender activist. (Per People.com, Pedro and Lux get along great, and Pedro posted this on Instagram (translation shown): “My sister, my heart, our Lux”.)
And this verbatim from wiki: Pascal’s mother was the cousin of Andrés Pascal Allende, the nephew of socialist Chilean President Salvador Allende (through his sister Laura). Pascal Allende was an early leader of the Movement of the Revolutionary Left, a militant far-left organization.
And his parents’ occupations (mother–child psychologist; father–fertility doctor) may have had some positive effect on his upbringing, although there are no guarantees in that situation. Also, his family’s left-wing leaning greater history points to a strong left-wing upbringing.
