I got an offer for the first month free if I subscribed to another of his blogs now apparently on Substack. Either Recommendo or Cool Tools.

I didn’t take the offer.

Kinda curious, anyone have any info as to whats happening with boingboing?

I’m guessing they cratered the community, but i wonder how the main site fairs as a result?

They moved the main site to SubStack and made the “classic BB” site read-only. I went to check it out before coming here, and it was unusable for what (I think) most of us value, the community, the discussion, the comradery. It’s like a huge group test. No bueno. Have not been back.

It alarms and saddens me how quickly it has dropped out of my daily routine, other than emails it was pretty much my first port of call every day.
