Dems should be crowing about this like the GOP does on āDEIā, āwokeā, and ācaravans at the borderā. I saw this morning that it was passed and hadnāt heard previously.
Theyāre nuking their own people and telling them itās the dems faultā¦and theyāre silent on it. Heck, thereās the usual misinformation that the GOP voted for this to prevent dems from raising taxes, as if they even could.

Thereās been some discussion lately that they are actually two different animals; misinformation may be conveyed through ignorance, but disinformation is deliberate. Maybe they are conjoined twins.

Ughā¦ Iām thinking that the GOP doesnāt care either way if the government is shut down. They know, despite being the party in power, that the Democrats will get the blame and also that many democrats will balk at shutting down the government. Plus, starving the beast is what they want to doā¦
I sort of feel like this is a no-win situation hereā¦

Shut it down. In every opinion poll I saw, the GOP and Trump were blamed for the shutdown. The cult members wonāt be swayed regardless, so forget trying to even influence them slightly.

Not what I was suggesting with regards to the MAGA faithfulā¦ whatever opinion polls might say (and we should probably just start taking polling with a grain of salt, generally speaking), the Democrats WILL end up getting blamed for a shut down, and not in a way that spins as them defying fascism, but as hurting ārealā Americans. The media will run with that narrative, and those very same opinion polls with change over night. 
And the GOP wants the destroy the government. So if it gets shut down, they get what they wantā¦
I donāt knowā¦ it justā¦ seems like a no-win situation until the media is not giving into fascism.
And probably doesnāt matter if the government does shut down, since they are already managing to gut so many programs that people depend on without a shut downā¦

Yeah, traditional media is really going out of their way to pander to him and itās disgusting. Still using soft language, refusing to even talk about half the crazier things going on. Anti-vax sentiment, which has been proven to be based on a lie, has killed a child. GOP people claim to care about children but not only do they not care, the top health official said itās normal.
My state had the first infant die to COVID. Our governor, during his daily press conference on the status of COVID related this, held himself for a moment, offered a prayer and went on with voice shaking. Our health officer next to him was completely inconsolable and did her report on health status literally in tears.
