Vernon Reid, guitarist for the Black rock group Living Colour, posted: “Black Artists ARE HELD AS SECONDARY & TERTIARY ACTORS in A MEDIUM THEY FORGED. Rinse. Repeat.”

I’ve stumbled across reaction videos on Youtube and for the most part, I have no interest. But one little rabbithole that I did go down was young people watching Living Colour. “Wow, these are black people, playing rock?!”

So much cultural history just quietly whitewashed away.

They prolly have no idea who Jimi Hendrix was.

I was at Target, oh this was at least 7 years ago, since that store is now closed. There were some T-shirts with Jimi’s face on them. Two white girls, 15-16 years old had this exchange:
“Who’s that?” “Oh, some guy with a 'fro.”

Listen to the whole thing, but one key point to remember is that electric cars are cheaper to build than internal combustion.

It’s not due to Baby Boomers.
