I’ve stumbled across reaction videos on Youtube and for the most part, I have no interest. But one little rabbithole that I did go down was young people watching Living Colour. “Wow, these are black people, playing rock?!”
So much cultural history just quietly whitewashed away.
They prolly have no idea who Jimi Hendrix was.
I was at Target, oh this was at least 7 years ago, since that store is now closed. There were some T-shirts with Jimi’s face on them. Two white girls, 15-16 years old had this exchange:
“Who’s that?” “Oh, some guy with a 'fro.”
Death is more inevitable than taxes; well, at least for the well-to-do in this country, and not for the rest of us.
