Itâs green.
OâBrien on a lion
Wait, that sounds like it was already an episode of DS9.
Vorta on a Horta.
Founder on a flounder
Thatâs a good one! Not only does it refer to both ST:DS9 and ST:TOS, but you could really sit on a horta in your living room (as long as it doesnât spit acid at you, that is).
It is!
The most furniture like species. In some of the books one of the Horta children join Star Fleet, and use a synthetic voice box to communicate.
But Larry wants to buy it for his daughter! Wonât somebody think of the poor kid?
Her birthday will be ruined!
If itâs the billionaires in control of Paramount- forget seeing any diversity on the shows.
Especially the LGBTQ+ characters recently on screen.
The organization throwing this in is called Project Rise Partners⌠not much is known about them, butâŚ
Those investors have largely remained mysterious outside of Daphna Edwards Ziman, president and co-chairman of film and lifestyle TV network CineĚmoi, and Moses Gross, founder and CEO of real estate company ANM Group. (Gross is the CEO of Malka Equities, the umbrella company that signed a $10 billion commitment on behalf of the investors.) But sources say Project Rise Partners is also backed by titans of industry comparable to Larry Ellison and includes at least one of the richest men in the world and as well as a company partner that is a pioneer in the satellite industry. Ziman and Gross fronted the previous offer, which they say was never presented to the board.
This is all very strange, reading through that article, and the concerns lawmakers have about the deal with Skydance, despite Ellison being a Trump ally⌠there is a lot more going on there, it seems.
Do I have to be fully up to speed with all other Star Trek storylines to understand this movie?
Which movie are you referring to?
There are a lot of connections to other storylines ; e.g., the Khan episode of ST:TOS and the Wrath of Khan movie.
Sorry, the new Section 31 flick.
Ive seen all the movies, TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager and Brave New Worlds. A little bit of Discovery
Section 31 shows up first (in real time, that is) in an ST:DS9 episode, I think. Thereâs a lot of info here (and just about anything Star Trek):
@Axolotl - I havenât watched it yet (since we donât have paramount) but I suspect that one will need to know something about the Emperor Georgiou storyline in Discovery (first three seasons?). Eric Deggans was complaining about how they donât really introduce the concept of section 31 very well, but it seems like familiarity with that from DS9 is also useful, as you say!
