Election Fallout

It’s still a foolish statement. Republicans will do something they claim helps working families, Bernie will point out very good reasons it’s not doing that, Republicans will say he’s going back on his word and Democrats are liars and won’t work with them, most Americans will only hear that last part, and Republicans win AGAIN.

NO. Democrats need to learn to straight-up oppose and obstruct, and stop being all subtle and polite about who and what the enemy are.

What about AOC or even Elissa Slotkin?

Republicans are playing Calvinball against Democrats who insist that both sides are playing flag football.

I think AOC will fight back, maybe some of the other “squad” folks, but yeah, for the most part, they’re going to accommodate and keep moving farther right to try and capture those voters…

And @womanhood_deferred - yeah, he says stuff like that a lot. It could be read as either accommodating or reminding people the populist messages Trump ran on. I’d like to think that Bernie would always stand by his principles…

For sure…

In case anyone wants to read what Bernie said but not give Fox the clicks…

Good point. I know the Dems are committed to a peaceful transfer of power, but that can be achieved without showing the fascist bastard respect and legitimizing his presence. Snub him. Don’t show up. Use those empty seats to show your contempt for this fraud of a man. The Democrats are so far behind when it comes to actually fighting in any meaningful way, so dedicated to acting like this is all business as usual and not rocking the boat, that I think most of them would be passive bystanders right up to the point he has them lined up and shot.

Well someone has to maintain decorum, wouldn’t be prudent to let all the civility come tumbling down, we must respect the office, the institutions, blah blah wait why are you pointing guns at me? At kind, decent little ol me of all people?

We are sad to announce that we have been told by Wizards that they will no longer support us with either funding or invites to Organized Play events.

Without this support - especially the invites - it is impossible for us to continue, and there will be no more VML seasons going forward.

I don’t understand… I thought WotC has been pretty consistently working at greater inclusivity. Is this their first capitulation, or have there been others? I’ve already paid for the preorder on the new Monster Manual…dammit.

i don’t know how they are today, but back in the 90s, two of the mucky-mucks from Wizards couldn’t pull their heads out of their asses in time, and I had to foilstamp and emboss their goddamn company chistmas cards on fking christmas eve! while they stood over me the entire time!

Seattle, 1994. my shop had that stinkin’ client for a time.
i’m glad i’m retired!

That doesn’t surprise me, it seems like they were a pretty chaotic group in the 80s. They’re an entirely different company today, with big corporate ownership (Hasbro). That aside, the latest rules set for D&D stresses the importance of everyone being welcome at the table and shedding some of the sexist, racist garbage from their past. In the PHB, at least. I have the new DMG, too, but I haven’t dug into it much. This is a disturbing move by them.
