I’ve seen tons on this - I guess I’m the target demo to send to. I mean, I’m happy to let the legal case work but I’m not sure what people are thinking will happen. Even if it turns out that Trump himself hand-coded the changes, after the electors have elected him, impeachment is the only path for removal. I’ve seen more than a few threads on Reddit where people seem to think this will automatically invalidate his presidency or whatever, which is fantasy thinking.
Where I think it matters most is in the states. In many of the swing states, if there were shenanigans, they have time to prevent a repeat in the midterms. Plus, if they can identify the perpetrators, they would face state charges.
I also think it would be nice to shut up all the corporate Dems who blame Harris and her campaign for losing and want to continue to shift the party to the right instead of embracing a shift to the left.
Shit like this makes me really question the presidential results.
T**** won NC by 3 points, but a Dem won the Governorship by 20 points. Dems won multiple state-wide races.
Sadly, we as re past the safe harbor date, so doesn’t really matter. But always remember, every accusation is a confession.
What it comes down to for me is this: In the October-ish timeframe, I had an optimism. America was rejecting T**** and embracing Harris, not only for what she is, but for what she represented. I had confidence we were moving in the right direction. Maybe not all at once, but directionally.
The results of the election shattered that. I look at the numbers in detail and they don’t make sense. I’ve spent at least 30 years of my life looking at numbers like this. The 2024 US presidential election numbers look FAKE. Not only do they not add up, they don’t match empirical observation.
I guess that makes me a Blueanoner. I don’t deny reality. We’re in this shit together. But it would be good to at least follow this to its conclusion. Because if there were significant-enough shenanigans to sway the outcome, it would help us come to terms with it and prevent it from happening again. A part of the scientific process is following the data even if it doesn’t end up where we think and when it does, to adjust processes for the future.
It would be cool to live in a universe where such a thing might have political and legal consequences, though. No idea if we do or not. 
Every day, I think we in the US move further and further from those pathways to resolution being less and less relevant.

This is, historically, not weird. NC has been reliably red for Presidential races since Nixon, with the only exceptions being Carter and Obama 1. Since then, it’s stayed red but it’s been close – it’s basically been considered a “lean red” swing state since 2008.
Meanwhile there has always been a significant mix of D and R at the state level and in Congress. Dems had a lock on the state legislature until I think 2016, when the Republicans gained a supermajority and started diluting the power of the governorship (which has been under primarily Democratic control since Reconstruction), and also doing wacky gerrymandering bullshit for both state and Federal districts. Now all kinds of ridiculous stuff happens.

I get that. For a few years I was a North Carolina voter. 
The striking thing wasn’t the split but the spread. 23 points is a huge difference. Then again, that spread was even bigger in 2000 and 2004, so it’s not unprecedented.
That is a pretty big spread, but yeah… within statistical reasonableness, for sure.
(Of course, not to conspiracy-monger, but the best way to hide a conspiracy is to make it appear statistically reasonable…)
