One thought I’ve had: exit polls in some areas may be distorted and less reliable than they usually are. There are probably many women (and young people) in traditionally conservative areas who won’t tell pollsters the truth about who they voted for in public, due to the risk of it getting back to their husband or boyfriend.
The idea that you should want to keep your vote from your own husband is genuinely really sad to me…but contrary to what the right claims, it isn’t the vote that reflects badly on.
Officials continue to warn of what they say is an unprecedented level of foreign influence and disinformation that they expect will persist beyond Election Day.
Yup, no doubt. FBI will have their hands full for some time, I suspect.
yes indeed. and being rightfully seen as a choice for dystopia, the …was it “keeping shtum” here?, effect works both ways. just observe here the understandable horror of learning a relation has voted for trump. (personally i’d invoke the “you choose your friends, not your family” if that would help - and i don’t think it would -sigh-) tediously, it has the effect of being able to glean next to nothing from peoples’ public opinions. yet i would still vaguely gesture to the different populations at Harris rallies vs the eroding of repeating roadies at trump rallies for signs of hope. (and then comes the @#$!n electoral college…)
Whatever floats your boat, including such celebratory options as:
That’s actually fanart version made by a furry artist LoupGarou!
(There’s also a female werewoof version behind the link; not open nudity, but fur-covered partially bare werewolf breasts, so be advised.)
Ah! I thought it was the actual Michigan sticker I had heard about but not seen.
Both are awesome but I’m loving that the official one was made by a 12-y/o who will always associate voting with positive feedback for their art.
thoodleoo
explaining to my students that no, i cannot leave school to vote so that they don’t have class, because i’ve already voted and that would be voter fraud. they declared that they do not care
Best of luck for those playing at home tonight, i’m sure i’ll be staying up far too late.
I just want to say no matter what happens that I have been amazed by the quality of the campaign Harris has run since she started.
I was just thinking how prescient their choices have been.
I’ve barely been following BUT I’m sincerely impressed. It seems to me that the brightest and best of my generation and the one after mine at least have been recruited to the Dem causes and campaigns and it does not appear to be so for the GOP.
I’ve never been really about party. I don’t like feeling like my voting record is my identity and it still makes me prickly to feel that way at all. But… I’m truly impressed by the quality and if she DOES win I will be very very relieved and happy.
I’m not crying, you’re crying…
Wrapping up here, gotta go vote!
“But if Trump is forced into that situation for a second time, he’ll need a whole new legal team, as most of the people he relied on in 2020 have either been disbarred or indicted for their efforts during the first go-round.
Here’s a look at where Trump’s crackpot lawyers from his failed 2020 effort are now.”
Finding lawyers who’ll represent him and not get paid limits the quality of those willing.
Wow, from under which rock did they drag de Pfeffel from*?
*Watching Channel 4 coverage over here in the UK and he’s trying to plug his book. Pathetic.
Well I sure hope so.
