Well, you used the magic word there.
Fox around and find out.
Chillax for a few hours.

Fox is calling the electoral college
Harris 3 Trump 19

Try to keep somewhat in mind the notions of the red-mirage and subsequent blue-shift
and how the trumpies try to make the “stop counting the votes” now nonsense happen.

Thank you for that.
Without intending sarcasm, I am fully aware of that which you speak, hence my post to the heart above.

According to the Guardian link @mindysan33 posted above:

Indiana

11 electoral college votes
Called for Trump a month ago

The polls aren’t even closed in the NW part of the state yet (on Central rather than Eastern Time), and only about a quarter of the counties even have any coloration yet, but they already called the state a month ago, so once again facts don’t matter.

In other races - Bernie Sander has won & Joe Manchin has lost.

It could be worse. As I recall, the Cthurch of Scientology in LA is a polling location.

This is a paywall-free article from Harpers. Worth a read (could also go in the history and/or economics thread).

“The Antitrust Revolution: Liberal democracy’s last stand against Big Tech”. Really puts together the evidence that Biden (and one hopes Harris) has done more than we realize to pull us back from the brink.

Spot on, ol’ chap.

But it’s nearly one in the morning here and I can’t follow anymore.
Will hopefully see you in a democracy tomorrow.

It’s very hard being here after moving to Israel to get away from this. I specifically moved there with my daughter because of the abortion ruling; I literally had to move to the Middle East for my daughter to have more rights than she has here in the U.S. Tennessee was terrible, but Chattanooga was a relatively liberal area, but living here in Nassau County, FL, it’s awful. I have struggled so much this past year because I go through waves of “I have to accept that I live here now,” and “I fucking hate these awful people and this awful government.” Fortunately, Jacksonville itself seems like it has more options. I met a woman the other day who has a real cool yoga/holistic arts space she is opening up. But, even so, if I had to choose where I’d live, anywhere in Florida would not be it. I’m just kind of stuck here now. At least I have a lot of people around here who care about me.

Hope you-all manage to have a solid good night’s rest!

In 1992 I voted in the garage of a house up the street from where I lived. I walked.

When is the big one, is that Pa.?

Huh? I thought he’s retiring, and a Republican just won his senate seat.

The red mirage begins.

The Guardian had Texas lite blue for a while, lite red now. Hopefully it flips back, because that would gut the Republicans.

Blue leading in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan. Illinois, Kansas(?).

If those hold to confirmed, that’s it. :crossed_fingers:
