He needs to go to The Hague.
And especially with the Senate being regained by the republican party, look for Thomas and Alito to get golden parachutes and Aileen Mercedes Cannon to be granted a life time supreme court recliner. (“but who gets the second seat?” oh… how about Matthew Kacsmaryk? that texas judge that tried to ban mifepristone nationally. he’s young and vile) -sigh-
Ah, yeah…
I was dismayed to hear that Harris has already conceded.
I guess I don’t see the point in putting it off any longer in the absence of a plausible path to victory.
One of the defining differences between the parties is that the Democrats continue to honor the rule of law and the electoral process even when they lose.
I was r eading about this earlier. Can they not just put it on the back burner until Trump leaves office in 2029? Though that would be further incentive to cement his reign as dictator before then.
NO…we’re in “The Country on the Edge of Forever”, a remake of “The City on the Edge of Forever”, aren’t we?
or something like that. is joan collins still alive?
I didn’t read through every reply so if this was already mentioned…
Here in Michigan Elissa Slotkin is now our representative so there’s one small very good thing that came out of yesterday.
Also, I was working outside today and overheard 3 workers(guys) from another company…
At least women can no longer get abortions in the ninth month.
And on our local pages…
I can’t wait for grocery prices to come down and I get all the extra money in my check from the tax exemptions.
And…
Can’t wait til we get the money in our checks that Ukraine was getting.
I’m not sure they completely grasp how foreign aid works but they think trump is going to disperse the Ukraine money to them.
This , and that whatever promises he’s made to Musk & Kennedy re: admin roles, are as valuable as any other promise he’s made to anyone.
It’s my understanding that one dollar from every carton of eggs sold in America was going directly to funding free gender reassignment surgery to illegal immigrants from Ukraine. Or something.
Fucking selfish assholes. People are DYING in Ukraine. Even if they did get that money, it would be blood money!
“It was their own fault for provoking Putin by putting their country right on his border!”
I don’t know… if there was actually election chicanery, we’ll never get a chance to figure that out and fix it, at least not while the GOP control the senate, white house, and some of the judiciary.
Thank goodness it’s not just me. Something is way off with the math.
Well they could, but Trump is going to clean house and install loyalists in the Justice Department, and they’re just going to drop every one of these cases. The days of career Justice Department attorneys who work across multiple administrations are over. Plus, he’ll probably pardon himself, rendering all the federal cases moot anyway. And before you say, “But he can’t pardon himself,” sure he can. Only the Supreme Court could tell him he can’t, and they won’t. That will leave only the Georgia case active, and my guess is the Georgia legislature continues interfering in that case until they can either convince Willis to drop it or find a way to get rid of Willis.
That’s the thing - they don’t control them yet. Where are those 15+ million votes?
I was under the impression that this year had record turnout, but with T**** at 72M and Harris at 67M, that’s a net decrease from 2020 of 13M votes, with California at 60% reported and most large states at 99% counted. I don’t see where those votes are going to come from unless there’s something very wrong.
I don’t want to go down the rabbithole, but when ttttt stated at a rally months ago: “Don’t worry, we fixed it so good. You won’t even need to vote”, or salad to that effect, my ears pricked up.
Au contraire - the despicable Pierre Poilievre is likely to be our next PM - and sooner at that. He has never worked a ‘real job’ - preferring the life of a political wonk.
Yet the unwashed centre to right are slavering over this guy like he has some magical solution to things. Especially when he gets Trumpy about stuff.
This is a clear example of the ripple effect US politics has on neighboring countries.
“A whole lotta people normalized him.”
“Solidarity is important.”
“He wants a country angry and at each other’s throats… We can’t become broken fucking weirdos.”

Crypto has accounted for nearly half of all corporate money flowing into the election, according to a report from nonprofit watchdog Public Citizen. No other sector is close. That includes oil companies and banks, which have historically been big political contributors. Crypto even outpaced Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, who spent tens of millions of dollars to try to get Republican nominee former President Donald Trump back in the White House in his contest against Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris.
