Elon Musk Destroys Everything

A newspaper headline soon after the raids declared the “un-German Spirit” (or undeutschen Geist) of the institute. It was forced to shut down. The Nazis took control of the buildings for their own purposes.

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

I wouldn’t celebrate just yet. He’s stepping down because if he didn’t, he’d have to become a regular government employee instead of a special government employee, which would subject him to mandatory financial disclosures. I suspect he’s not actually going away. He’ll probably take a vacation, and then return as a special advisor again with a different title. Plus, his people will still be there, and his influence over Trump and Republican politics definitely won’t go away.

Yeah, just saw this on ABC News

Asked if he wanted to keep Elon Musk in the White House after his 130-day term as a special government employee expires, Trump said Musk would return at some point.
“Well, I think he’s an amazing. But I also think he’s got a big company to run. And so, at some point he’s going to be going back. He wants to,” Trump said.

 What are the odds that fewer employees at the IRS will make it easier for someone to make the scope of tax breaks associated with these “losses” public?

Remember how horrified they all were when Biden increased the number of IRS employees for the specific reason of catching more tax scofflaws?

These guys aren’t subtle.

I hadn’t seen anything else about it, & figured someone was celebrating St. Stupid’s Day a day early.

Yeah I just kind of assumed they don’t care about losing a few hundred million when they are likely reaping billions, much like how more obvious forms of money laundering are lossy.
