There’s a grain of truth to that, from what I’ve seen, as a very small fish in the ocean of Bluesky. If somebody drops a 
, it’s going to get challenged, and the pushback can get pretty rough.
But… that’s pretty much the way the Internet has been, for as long as I’ve been in it. Arguments can flare up over the smallest things, and nobody should expect they can post without getting some disagreement at some point.
The accounts I follow skew pretty left/left-leaning, so I’ve seen pile-ons happen fairly often. In the best case scenarios, people listen to each other and learn something. In others, folks double- and triple-down, and the fight rolls on. In the last day or so, an account called Third Way advocated changing the Democratic platform to chase after “normal” viewpoints-- which some of us here have been very much against– and yeah, they got slammed. And I thought, good, that was a bad take and they should feel bad. 
Sites and boards develop a culture of their own, and you either adapt to the culture there, or you leave. Moderation should have a role in keeping things as civil as possible, of course, but I also think there’s some intolerant viewpoints that shouldn’t get tolerated. (something something paradox of tolerance) Twitter failed in that regard, and it turned into a toxic cesspool. Bluesky’s still at the crossroads; it’s grown so fast that they’re a bit overwhelmed, and I’m not sure the management has a clear strategy going forward. I’m fairly comfortable with users helping police and protect their spaces, but that’s not surprising after spending almost 10 years at TOS…

Honestly, for a small child just being around a grown intoxicated man can be so terrifying. Woman too, but personally the size alone is so hard to deal with and most men are even bigger than grown women. I recall, for instance, trying to turn my dad over when he passed out because I’d heard multiple times how he might choke to death on the floor if no one helped him. So I’d sob and truly grieve my dad thinking he was probably dead now. Eventually I stopped caring but at 5 or 6 I really truly exhausted myself trying to shove a beer soaked piss soaked 200 lb man onto his belly and believing I was responsible for his death if I couldn’t.
When they get mad or emotional out of the blue and start jerking around or push, shake, or squeeze you to vent emotions so on and so forth.
The weird terrifying things that they will hold you down and drip into your face while you can’t move because they have some deep feels about something they just saw on tv.
So in my mind on some level when he says this I think to myself “i bet he hurt that kid while he was high af and that’s his own guilty conscience projecting.”
Of course this is just me being triggered by this sociopath bastard.
