Thanks for the suggestion. Some of the reviews on the Google Play store mention that the app isn’t as good as the desktop version but I might try it out anyway.
AdBlock can hide the button for me in Outlook, at least so far.
I’d have to agree with that, but that’s mostly because the desktop version is that good. It still has categories on the main screen for music, podcasts, and classical. (And to be fair, it all works even better if you have the paid version of the desktop and the phone app, but it’s still much better than a streaming subscription.)

I use that and I download everything. I don’t remember it ever caring if I’m online. Free version does have banner ad but it’s small.
I think have used it before 2019 but my memory has always been shit.
I’ll second @Heikki 's suggestion of podcast addict. I have no complaints. I can even use it to listen to mp3s downloaded from elsewhere, though that is a little complex (you have to save the files in the right place).
The little banner is easily ignored.
So maybe I’m just too tech illiterate but I stopped using Podcast Addict months ago when I was no longer able to subscribe to some of my favorite podcasts with it. They just don’t show up as options anymore when I search for them through that app, although I can still find them on other apps. And I just checked and found that one podcast that I can’t find on the other apps anymore does show up on Podcast Addict. So what’s the deal?
And unfortunately I can’t figure out how to subscribe to podcasts at all through the MediaMonkey app. The help I found online seems to apply to the desktop version.
Ah, sorry about that. Looking closer at that part of the app, it doesn’t do the subscribing for you. As you’ve discovered, that’s part of the desktop version. The app version only plays downloaded files.
Can you give me example of podcast you can’t find?
I have not run across this, sorry, but I do know that you can paste in an RSS feed, like for a paid patreon podcast.
Hmm. Right now as I’m doing some searching I’m not running into the same problem that I had a couple months ago. Strange, maybe it was some sort of temporary glitch or something that got resolved when I reinstalled the app. Anyway, fingers crossed that I’m good now. Glad to get away from the clunky YouTube Music app that replaced Google Podcasts. Thanks!
It has three search engines I usually use Apple Podcast because almost everybody remembers add their podcast to that one or its automatic.
Liz Dye has a podcast with this guy…
Creator Accountability Network was started because of him.
Ok, well I only know her from Legal Eagle, and I posted that because of the story about the California Bar Exam.
Some other good examples in the thread.
Firefox on Windows does not support user css.
And of course Firefox’s interface, Mozilla’s sites, and some other sites ignore the font preferences.
The flag (which has been hidden behind about:config for ages) still exists; does it no longer work? (I use UbO so I’m not super conversant in user stylesheets in practice.)
Yeah, I did that right after I copied my userContent.css and userChrome.css to the appropriate folder. No, it’s not working there.
I hate Windows and it gives me a headache every time I try to use it.
