I am really glad—truly—that more outlets are covering FEMA’s unacceptable response in Texas. But for my original reporting to receive ZERO acknowledgement (especially when I know many of these outlets originally declined to cover this story) is simply maddening. I would literally never do that.
I noticed one comment saying the real news is at the local level. Not anymore…
Bari Weiss? Journalist entrepreneur?
That could explain why Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue, announced that she’s retiring.
Ars Technica and Teen Vogue seem to be some of the last ones doing good work. So of course they must be stopped. God, what a mess.
I stopped watching TV news round-table shows years ago. This covers what they’ve turned into - a way to platform right-wing talking points and justify authoritarian actions of the regime - using a recent CNN broadcast as an example:
Unfortunately, the woman in pink’s behavior has become so normalized that it’s what often happens in meetings, too. I attended an online meeting a few weeks ago, and this is what it devolved to. One person just kept interrupting and talking over anyone who they disagreed with and accusing the people they interrupted of being rude! It was an hour and a half meeting and they talked almost 2/3 of the meeting. Afterwards, I found out they weren’t even supposed to be there. They weren’t invited and they weren’t qualified to be a part of the conversation.
