It sounds like they’re hoping that AI slop will be better if they curate the training data feed more carefully. I don’t know how much AI garbage is because of bad training data and how much is because AI really is just a type of averaging. It’s not “thinking” about the meaning of the content at all, it’s just guessing the next word.
