Ah, that’s the old “you idiots have pissed me off so much I’m not going to let you off easy with quitting. I’m going to drag my feet and collect my paychecks for as long as I can until you lay me off, so I can continue to bleed you for another 6 months of severance and unemployment.”

As I’ve advised people, “If they aren’t going to let you advance and grow, make them pay you to leave.”

“Soft Quitting” or “Quiet Quitting” as celebrated by Homer Simpson.

This is what I always think of when I hear those terms.

As long as they pretend to pay me I’ll pretend to work.

That’s a weird way to spell “grifter”.

Is he grifting with the vaccine stuff? I haven’t noticed an angle, but maybe I’m not paying close enough attention. All I’ve seen, he looks like a true believer.

It propelled him to the nomination for HHS Secretary. He’s published two books in the last 4 years about COVID. I also assume he gets paid for speaking engagements and appearances, which he likely would not get but for his anti-vax bullshit. Right wing conspiracy theorist is a pretty well paying gig, especially when your last name is well known.

The part about Greenland being ready to “cooperate with Trump” is a very deceptive headline. Even NYT did better. But it is Bloomberg, so they probably chose that headline on purpose. Particularly since the actual article is paywalled.

Of course Greenland is willing to work with the US in defense. They and Denmark are allies and have been doing so for a long time. The part about mining is

Yeah, it is… the article says literally the opposite…

The Dems tried to pass a draconian immigration bill and the NYTimes Editorial Board says they’re for illegal immigration. That’s why it is not only morally wrong to sacrifice the powerless for political expediency, but it’s not even politically expedient.

Quoted post
90% of “serious” American punditry is lying about what Democrats are saying, then telling them to do what they’re already doing.
