I don’t know that this is true. When the list gets this long, it’s hard to remember everybody. There were an awful lot of ex-Nazis who took power int he post-WWII German governments.
Yeah, but we knew who they were.
One of the starting points for the "68er" protest generation.
True, but a major reason for that was the rising tensions between the US and USSR. By the time of the Berlin Blockade/airlift, leadership on both sides decided that de-nazification was done and it was time to move on to the next struggle…
And as @FGD135, people knew…
Worked for Ukraine. Just sayin’.
I think that if the war had not happened, Zelenskyy probably would have been voted out. His pre-war numbers were apparently not great. He has turned out to have risen to the occasion, and that’s amazing. But at some point we need to start acknowledging that someone being good on TV isn’t really a great qualification for being in office.
Despite the government trying its hardest to stop the publication of the brown book, and cover up just how many of them were “busy” before 1945.
Pfft. All of them, to some extent.
The NY Times wrote an article about Mandami that used source material obtained by a “Violently Racist” Nazi hacker whose username is a slur, and didn’t feel that the details on where they obtained their information was relevant enough to mention in the article.
After watching parts of the most recent Jubilee video with Medhi Hasan, this is pretty accurate. If you haven’t watched the one with Hasan, I would recommend not watching it. There were a couple of the “debaters” who actually said they wanted fascism. I don’t think these “hey, let’s have reasonable people debate unreasonable people” videos are helpful. It’s assuming that both sides of these issues are valid, when they’re not.
I’m going to drop this here without a link to the video.
I’ve had issues with Jon Stewart in the past. For all the good he’s done, he’s also done a lot of harm. And apparently, his wealth and fame have burnt out his irony detector. On the same show he ripped into CBS for capitulating to T**** for canceling the Late Show/Colbert, he platformed Patrick Soon-Shiong, the pro-T**** billionaire owner of the LA Times. Assholes.
