What lazy ass-reportingā€¦ I think I posted an article by Axios saying that same stupid shit recentlyā€¦ These dipshits are in a fucking echo-chamberā€¦

The reasoning seems to be that three of them used to be registered Democrats. That ignores the fact that (a) they arenā€™t now, and (b) ā€œDemocratā€ isnā€™t an ideology. Conservative Democrats exist. None of those people were ever leftist.

Yeah, pretty much sums it upā€¦ :rage:

More likely that Todd Blanche will give them carte blanche

Iā€™ve (Ives!) been hoping for years that someone would do thisā€¦ (itā€™s not synced well, but Iā€™ll take it)

Fortunately, thatā€™s not how accreditation in the United States works. High schools and colleges get accredited through an outside regional entity. Iā€™ve been through three of them (HS) and itā€™s incredibly rigorous. The accreditation committee is made up of random teachers (HS) and professors (universities), who assess the institutions based upon a set specific criteria. The local, state and federal government entities have no input with accreditation. There is no appeal. If you get the equivalent of a B score or lower, you will get reevaluated 2-3 years later.

'twould be interesting to have Alice Reasoner in his line of succession.

Is it the same for universities, though?

Yes. I would imagine that universities are even more rigorous than high schools. Also, university departments have separate accreditation. I remember one department at my university that was not accredited because that lacked enough full-time professors.

While the US Dept of Education is loosely involved, the accreditation is left to the independent accrediting organizations.

Oh, yes. As @subextraordinaire mentioned, it even extends to departments and schools/colleges within the larger institution. Engineering is one of the big groups; some states wonā€™t grant engineering professional licenses to graduates from non-ABET-accredited programs.

There are a number of accrediting agencies in the United States that accredit at the institute level; Wikipedia has lists of US and international organizations.

Youtube auto-deletes comments if they include links. I suspect in both cases, itā€™s a crude anti-spam measure; they want people to pay for advertising, not just post it.

But itā€™s frustrating that anyplace where people try to stay informed is dismissed as an ā€œecho chamberā€ and ā€œout of touch with Real Americansā€¦ā€

I remember that UCI began its law school in 2009, but it took five years before it received its full accreditation from the American Bar Association. (I suspect that the CBA may have granted a provisional accreditation much earlier, perhaps the year ot began, based upon the reputation of UCI.)

Even if they had been leftistsā€¦if there is a cabinet with a fascist, a former centrist who became a fascist, a former Marxist who became a fascist, and a former anarchist who became a fascist, how hard is it to notice that cabinet is all fascists? :unamused:

I stumbled across this by accident today.

After Mr. Trumpā€™s victory in 2016, some on the left wore safety pins as a sign of support for marginalized groups, while others opted for the less subtle, pink catlike hats that were a nod to a leaked ā€œAccess Hollywoodā€ tape of Mr. Trump talking crudely about grabbing women by their genitals.

Some people cannot live without conflict. They donā€™t want to exchange ideas, just shock, fight and mistreat. Then some start to say that leaving these vandals alone is a wrong tactic.
