A glossary of parodic terms in op-eds and punditry:

Identity Politics: Pejorative for equal rights for anyone but cis white men.

Cancel Culture: The mythical banishment of shitheads.

Woke = Stolen from black culture and drained of meaning.

I’ve been hoping to see improvement and more collaboration among alternative news sources in response to increasing criticism of mass media for enabling the rise of the right:

We need at least one alternative to counter conservative/GOP domination of social media, radio, TV, and print sources:

Not even. WOKE means to them any empathy for outgroups, any questioning of the status quo, any appeal to facts or knowledge over authority, any acknowledgement that the world isn’t black and white, any acknowledgment of the shortcomings of “faith” and tradition
 this can keep going because they don’t even know what fucking “woke” means.

Pretty sure that’s where Democracy Now! lives. I’ve listened to it for at least 15 years now. Amy Goodman is amazing.

I’ll have to check out more Pacifica programming.
