The key takeaway is that the world’s richest man got what he wanted; stripped our cancer funding for kids, killed reforms to bring down drugs prices and caps on investment in China. Trump on the other hand demanded a debt ceiling raise and got nothing.

In the case of Mangione’s perp walk, at least on social media, the optics appear to have backfired on the NYPD and the mayor. Many noted that the mayor himself has been criminally charged for corruption and bribery. On the morning of Mangione’s arrival, the mayor’s closest adviser Ingrid Lewi-Martin surrendered to authorities on criminal charges of bribery. She was herself perp walked later in the day.
But the overriding theme on X, Instagram, Facebook and elsewhere was that Mangione’s perp walk made a man accused of premeditated murder seem sympathetic.

They are really trying everything to make people dislike Luigi 
I have seen very little media coverage empathetic to him.

Dislike was the wrong word, but due to lack of sleep my brains only functioning at like 60% or so today. I don’t like Luigi, but I do like that his actions seem to have awoken some class consciousness in the US.

I was watching somebody talk about his look, he’s got a nice fade, his eyebrows are cleaned up, he’s being looked after in prison. Not by the authorities, mind you, but he definitely seems to have supporters in the prison population.

They are, but of course, all the restaurants are struggling in Asheville right now, including all the Vegan ones (that this woman helped make space for in town).
