While the story is worth posting on its own, I just had to post it because of the following spelling correction in the comments:

Canon. The canon is something you start arguments over; the cannon is something you end them with.

It’s presented as if they think liberals pull the trigger with their pinkies out.

One irony I noticed earlier today: the people who tend to stockpile guns in case the government decides to implement martial law are generally the same people who support pouring money into their military to the point where their resistance to martial law would be ineffective if it ever actually happened.

Also reported at The Other Place.

I love how the property owners just kind of gloss over how they were deliberately trying to creep people out.

This caught my eye because we once had a small cat we named Kugel.

As far as a means to keep trespassers away…it has merit.

We just don’t want to do it.

Actually being a Christian is apparently nowhere near as fun as hating on gay people, women, and basically anyone who isn’t in a position of power

Not amongst rednecks/hillbillies.

And as someone who grew up rural and has been called a redneck (or even a “left-wing redneck”) from time to time, not even then.

But slamming people with medical problems which make them fat: troll away. Because even though stress and shame are well-known triggers for over-eating, too many people want to believe “something needs to be said” “for the good of the person’s health”. 'Cos, you know, fat people are too dumb to figure that out for themselves.

ETA: not to mention that there are plenty of fat people who are actually active and healthy, and plenty of thin people who are not.
