There are certain videos that are watching whenever they turn up. For me, one such video is the Aluminium beverage can explainer that I was linked to some years ago. Eleven minutes on the history and engineering of a drinks receptacle doesn’t immediately strike you as captiavating watchingm, but it absolutely is a compelling watch, well presented, interesting and understandable with no technical knowledge.
Well, today there’s a new one, about plastic drinks bottles.

Thanks for posting. I’m the same way. Friends made fun of me for reading; Rust: The Longest War by Jonathan Waldman. It’s a dive into rust and man’s attempt to prevent it.

I read a book once about a mad pioneer of refrigeration who decided to transport ice in sailing ships to India. Fascinating.
