Word(s – ha).

While walking with a relatively upright friend last year, she kindly and gently said, “You know, I sometimes think of a puppet string attached to the top of my head while I’m walking. It’s pulling me up straight. I think keeping that image in mind has helped with my posture in general!”

I think that since then, it’s helped mine too.

It’s a visualization many riders also use.

The only time my posture’s any good is when I’m riding. When I ride a lot, I even stand up straighter when I’m on the ground. About 5 days in a row of riding for at least a couple hours starts making a difference.
