That makes sense. We’ve had some snow, then a warm-up, then a quick re-freeze. I used all of my ice melt over the weekend.

That’s why smart Canadians wear these in icy conditions;

They are pretty much slip proof. Mind you, you can’t walk on any other surface, but they are great for ice.

The ones in the pic are from Lee Valley Tools. I don’t know what brand they are. Mine are from Marks Work Wearhouse (a blue collar clothing chain in Canada); DuraCare, I think is the brand.

When it’s icy (not yet, this winter), I feel completely comfortable walking on icy surfaces. No fear of falling.
