Scooby Dooby Doo, Where are you
We’ve got some work to do now
Scooby Dooby Doo, Where are you
We need some help from you now
And then the Murders began.

And then the Murders began.
In the year 1999, high above Macross island in the South Pacific, a phenomenal event occurred in the skies which altered the course of human history. And then the murders began.
Darn it, it’s 18 years later. Forget flying cars, I want to know where all the transforming planes are.
Now, old Mr. Johnson had troubles of his own
He had a yellow cat that wouldn’t leave his home
He tried and he tried to give the cat away
He gave it to a man going far, far away…
And then the murders began.
In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. And then the murders began.
Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic. The taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute. Hoping to resolve the matter with a blockade of deadly battleships, the greedy Trade Federation has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Naboo. While the Congress of the Republic endlessly debates this alarming chain of events, the Supreme Chancellor has secretly dispatched two Jedi Knights, the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, to settle the conflict… and then the murders began.
Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
And then the wretched murders did begin.
When shall we three meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
When the hurly-burly’s done,
When the battle’s lost and won.
When the murders have begun.
Hwæt! We Gardena in geardagum,

(Speaking of murder, I probably murdered that.)
When at the middle point upon life’s way
I found myself within a dark wood’s heart,
For I was from the rightful path astray.
And then the murders did around me start.
Life is like a hurricane, here in Duck Burg. And then the murders began!
"I’m sure going to miss Huey an’ Duey an’ Unca Donald, and, well, everyone. And I sure hope they bring Webby to justice one of these days. Now, if we’re done with this interview, Launchpad an’ I are going to go do some mystery solving and history rewriting somewhere safer."
Louie hops into the waiting plane, and as he gets seated in the cockpit Launchpad fires it up. The roar of the engine coming up to speed is just enough to conceal the click of the rear hatch closing as a small form in pink slips aboard unnoticed…
More doctors smoke CAMELS than any other cigarette!
And then the murders began.

In days long past, when the earth and all the people on it were still young, crows used to be white. And then the murders began.

(though there are of course many versions of the story)
The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower.
But war never changes.
In the 21st century, war was still waged over the resources that could be acquired. Only this time, the spoils of war were also its weapons: Petroleum and Uranium. For these resources, China would invade Alaska, the US would annex Canada, and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarreling, bickering nation-states, bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth.
In 2077, the storm of world war had come again. In two brief hours, most of the planet was reduced to cinders. And from the ashes of nuclear devastation, a new civilization would struggle to arise.
A few were able to reach the relative safety of the large underground vaults. Your family was part of that group that entered Vault Thirteen. Imprisoned safely behind the large Vault door, under a mountain of stone, a generation has lived without knowledge of the outside world.
And then the murders began.
Once upon a time there was a mother pig who had three little pigs. The three little pigs grew so big that their mother said to them, “You are too big to live here any longer. You must go and build houses for yourselves. But take care that the wolf does not catch you.”
The three little pigs set off. “We will take care that the wolf does not catch us,” they said.
And then the murders began.
A long, long time ago,
I can still remember
How the music used to make me smile
And I knew that if I had my chance,
I could make those people dance,
And maybe they’d be happy for a while.
But February made me shiver
With every paper I’d deliver:
Bad news on the door step,
I couldn’t take one more step.
I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day the murders began.
I was about to correct you and say that H is (four dots) not (…), but I find that Discourse won’t allow more than three dots in a row. Where’s your precious First Amendment now, Americans?
And then the murders began.
Come join the Warner Brothers
And the Warner Sister, Dot
Just for fun we run around the Warner movie lot
They lock us in the tower whenever we get caught
But we break loose and then vamoose
And then the murders begin
Isn’t that pretty much standard for Vault-tec?
Only as part of a scientific experiment.
Vault 13s experiment was that it was supposed to be sealed for 200 years, longer than nearly everywhere else. Only Vault 101 was supposed to be sealed for longer (that we know of), but one overseer decided to temporarily open the vault early, allowing access to the PC and their father.
'Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the land
Not a creature was stirring
Then the murders began.
