Yes. A valid passport can be used in place of Real ID. My license expires next year, so will use passport until license renewal.

Passports will work instead but have the same limitation as international travel where they are effectively invalid in the last 6 months of its term. So if you’re getting close to that, it’s worth renewing.

Yeah, my passport is good through 2030. :+1: so I have years until I absolutely need to comply with TSA theatrics.

eta: not sure about 6 months with domestic travel. I thought this is an issue with international travel (not getting stuck in another country).

Anyone been to Oktoberfest in Munich in the last year or two? Is cash still the preferred payment method or have they gone electronic? TIA.

Can’t speak to that specifically, but Germany is still very weird about preferring cash and not having many ATMs available to get said cash, so be prepared.

Bring cash. You can pay almost anywhere without cash in theory - but some places don’t accept foreign cards because of real or imagined extra fees, the inconvenience of updating/upgrading POS software/terminals or contracts with payment processing providers or whatever.
Not to mention it’s a lot easier to funnel revenue past the IRS.

i would go as far to say that key west is safe for now. but one would need to fly in directly (which may present difficulties as restrictions on travel documents become muddled in vague proclamations).
Do not drive down! you do not want to drive down the 75 or 95 through the mainland. don’t do that.
key west celebrates trans and generally queer folk. florida does not.
