Thanks! I’ll have to check it out
I have often wondered why something like this didn’t exist. Well, now it does
I know there’s a lot of 3rd party sites and apps to track parcels/mail, i infrequently need to keep close tabs on certain orders but my go-to tracker is:
It’s been clutch for the occasional international order. And particularly UPS is absolutely dogshit when it comes to updating the tracking on their site (at least in my experience), and this site has worked great for me.
That’s for sure. How does 17track get around that?
I don’t think they get around it, UPS most of the time isn’t updating the tracking on their site but in the background its working. Funny enough this time i got a package through UPS (the crab themed Yeti tumbler) and this time 17Track did not give me any updates, and Yeti’s site was the same. However somehow Yeti’s site did give me tracking info today when the other two sites didn’t, but overall 17Track has been reliable in the past.
This is so cool. Put text in a screen for old video games completely accurately.
Ok, im guessing this is a reference to something, but I couldn’t figure out what. I found it hilarious anyway (i.e. to the point of tears) & fell asleep laughing. This AM my wife asked me what was so funny before I fell asleep. I told her that I couldn’t explain why it was so funny (& I really couldn’t).
The “time for a menthol” I cannot explain. It just seemed to be what Mickey was saying.
“Shut up, crime” is a reference to the movie “Super.”
VPN update.
I decided I needed a VPN after the election, in case we end up with a Great Firewall of the USA. I want to be sure to get outside news.
Thanks for the advice, everyone. After doing a lot of reading, I have decided to go with @chgoliz advice and try Proton. Why? Because:
- They appear to have a relatively non-evil reputation.
- They are based in Switzerland, so Trump can’t threaten to prosecute them.
- Their plans start with a free tier. So I can see if I like it first.
This will be for an iPhone. If I had a Macintosh I would probably at least try this:
If you like to use an RSS reader, this is a site you can get feeds for comics.
ETA:
Got curious what Open Toonz was, decided to check it out. Woah, it’s used by Studio Ghibli.
They had it narrowed down to that or Stab-Time. And they still chose wrong.
An unfortunate lapse of judgment.
I just found this tool to share Bluesky threads:
I just got a new phone, and the only music players it has are like spotify, youtube, and apple music - I just need a player that plays my music and not downloads stuff online… any recommendations for a free one from the play store? Thanks! I have a samsung Galaxy 15 phone… If that makes a difference…
