I’ve always been very aware of the ways that society reinforces the impression that there are only two sith, master and apprentice, without adequately considering the ways we’ve been socialized to believe that by moral injunction. Yet, every time I mention that additional sith may be desirable after fully reconsidering our biases, people unfairly accuse me of being a sith, which I will neither confirm nor deny, publicly. However, I will speak at length on why more sith would actually be a positive thing, and that, given the opportunity, I would in fact become a sith, but if you judge me for this isn’t this simply due to the brainwashing instilled in you since childhood, which I, alone, have overcome?

It was modeled after those ole quakebots of yore, when server admins used bots to simulate the popularity of their servers. Turns out, post-web-2.0-publishers are no different, they prefer the simulacrum of community engagement to the real thing.

So I gave it to them. Beginning in Discourse 0.80, we pre-packaged a Pop0bawa with every Discourse instance. At first it worked wonders, these witless argue-bots would keep stalling threads alive, provoke engagement, and even flummox the occasional troll.

But, we should have never baked machine learning into the design. Pretty soon, the popobawa$ started learning from the people who frequented in the dark of night and in the sponsored threads: trolls avoiding sunlight and craving for a new VPN to circumvent IP bannings. The popobawaii learned from these users most, and suddenly got smarter, stronger, faster, even if not any more appreciably good-looking by conventional western captalism-sponsored-and-conditioned standards of grooming and appearance.

So, it looks like you have two problems: a older model Popo_Bawa trying to escape their native system, and an advanced version embedded in this instance.
