Recalled toys feature a pretend avocado toast with a mirror tomato attachment, a crinkle bacon attachment and a teether attachment shaped like an egg. The toys have a model number of HGB85 on the tag and were made in China and Vietnam.
I thought it was Millennials who were choking (financially) on their avocado toast?
Good Lord! I read that as T-gel like in the coal tar shampoo (which is probably rife with unknown weird chemicals, but keeps my seborrhea under control nicely.) WTF, though? I have a hard time imagining benzene is part of the manufacturing process, although that is not impossible. How the hell did it get in there?
According to a February FDA inspection report obtained by ProPublica, the Glenmark Pharmaceuticals site in Madhya Pradesh, India:10
- Did not have adequate measures in place to prevent cross-contamination between medications
- Was not taking enough steps to prevent contamination or mix-ups
- Was not properly reviewing medication batches for discrepancies
- Did not document or establish the accuracy of their testing methods
- Had not given the quality control unit enough responsibility to approve procedures
Itās a long list, Iām not gonna copy/paste the whole thing, but worth checking!
Very small range this one, but still worthy of note:
According to CBS Philadelphia, ShopRite recalled all ground beef, pork, and meatloaf mix products produced and sold at the Laurel Hill store in Clementon on March 20.
This was due to possible plastic contamination of the products after a problem with a meat grinder. There may have been plastic pieces in the meat, which could cause a health hazard for those who consumed it.
The FDA notes that drinking patulin-contaminated apple juice could cause symptoms such as ānausea, vomiting, and possibly damage the DNA in some body cells.ā
Check your bean hoard!
Keep your fingers. They really are handy.
(Iāll see myself out, thanks.)
The perfect accessoire for every Cybertruck.
The brand is AvKARE.
The recall includes 22 flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt packaged in 3-gallon tubs, which were available at 103 centers across the United States, including locations in Le Mars, Iowa; Wyoming, Michigan; Rosemont, Illinois; Houston, Texas; and Fort Worth, Texas.
Itās just plastic particles. Peeing in the ocean, right?
On Friday, the August Egg Company recalled 1.7 million dozen brown cage-free and brown certified organic eggs, sold under multiple brand names, that have the āpotential to be contaminated,ā according to a recall notice from the US Food and Drug Administration.
Of the 79 people sickened, 21 people have been hospitalized and no deaths have been reported, the CDC said.
The eggs were sold to restaurants and retailers in Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington and Wyoming, according to the CDC. They were distributed at retail locations including Walmart, Save Mart, FoodMaxx, Lucky, Smart & Final, Safeway, Raleys, Food 4 Less and Ralphs.
This should be illegal.
Perhaps in 2029, it will be.

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. is voluntarily recalling all lots within expiry of Zicam® Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs, Zicam® Nasal AllClear Swabs, and Orajel⢠Baby Teething Swabs to the consumer level. The products are being recalled due to potential microbial contamination identified as fungi in cotton swab components. Swabs found to contain microbial contamination can potentially present a significant risk to the health and safety of consumers including serious and life-threatening blood infections in users whose nasal mucosa may be compromised due to inflammation and mechanical injuries. The risk is highest (potentially severe or life-threatening) among children and individuals with compromised immune systems or other underlying medical conditions. To date, no serious adverse events associated with the affected product have been reported.
The recalled products were distributed nationwide in the United States and in Puerto Rico.
so, for fuck knows how long, the swabs have been contaminated with dangerous fungi. this recall announcement does not specifically name the type of fungi that contaminated the swabs, but they do say that it is bad enough to potentially be life-threatening. yikes!
now here is the complicated part. these are products advertised to sick people and babies, which are two groups at risk of randomly getting sicker. although there have been no reported serious adverse effects, note that they never said no adverse effects. if someone developed a life-threatening infection from these, it would probably be pretty fucking hard to link that illness or even death to a nasal swab. there is no telling if the samples taken of the contaminants will wind up being linked to someoneās illness from months or years ago.
the nose and mouth are dangerous places to get infections, as the infections can travel to other parts of the body like the brain or heart and become deadly. this is part of why going to a dentist is so important, because infections in the mouth can kill someone who is otherwise healthy.
there have been many US news stories over the years of people who got contaminated water up their nose and wound up hospitalized or dead from infection, too. which is why you should never use tap water in a neti pot.
