Glenmark issues another recall, this time for 1.5M bottles of ADHD drug due to impurities

Glenmark Pharma, an India-based drug manufacturer that has been the focal point of a spate of recalls in recent years, has issued another.
This time, the product pull covers about 1.48 million bottles of the generic attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) drug atomoxetine.
Eli Lilly previously sold the branded version of the drug, Strattera, but discontinued all strengths in 2023 after the arrival of generics.
The recall was triggered by the presence of unacceptable levels of N-nitroso atomoxetine, a possible carcinogen, in multiple Glenmark atomoxetine batches, according to the FDA.

If this may affect you, check your generic manufacturer on the label. This manufacturer seems to have a either an incredibly run of bad luck or some serious quality control issues.

Some Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals are being voluntarily recalled over the “potential presence” of a “wood-like material,” Nestlé USA announced Monday.

“Wood-like material?” How could they tell the difference? (I kid, I kid… sorta)

Recalled frozen meals include Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry and Stouffer’s 96-ounce Party Size Chicken Lasagna. The impacted products were sold at major stores between September 2024 and March 2025 and produced between August 2024 and March 2025.
A full list of impacted meals, their batch numbers and best by dates is available on Nestlé USA’s website and the FDA website.

But no, we don’t need government oversight of these companies. They will assure the quality of our food just fine…
