It was finally well above freezing today in Montreal, the end of a two-day melting event that started with rain yesterday afternoon. Today it was clear, but very windy with a high of 44F/7C. Temps will dip back below freezing tonight and remain below freezing through the weekend. So, I went out a walked for a couple of hours since the sidewalks weren’t icy. All those piles of slushy snow are gonna need longer than a couple of days to melt, though.

Still high winds up to 50 mph for most of the day.
Our mad winds have finally mellowed out, and despite today’s expected high of 42℉, a rain/snow mix is also expected.

This afternoon the NWS moved the big bad red area for Saturday closer to me
