It’s stunningly beautiful until the terror kicks in. Then I weep.

That is such an insane picture… Even here, I’ve never seen snow twice in the same month like we just had… especially over here in the east/south east part of the ATL… and I’ve lived here in GA for almost all of my life…

30 F right now!

it’s been the usual frigid snowy MI weather which makes me wary.

i do not do well in below-zero F temps. heck, i wish I could just shrivel up like a tardigrade until the cold weather is over.

We’re expecting a huge dump in the second half of the week. I’m so glad I’m retired (although there will likely be snow closures), and I have no appointments this week. It used to be really frustrating going into work; they would know there’d be a huge storm, but they’d make us come in, and then at the height of the storm, they’d send us home.

I’m going out in a few minutes to stock up on groceries.

Thanks; there and back. I also had to got back to the store where I bought new boots yesterday, because they forgot to take off the security tag, and the grocery store is a about a block away, so two missions accomplished, and I have new boots for the snowstorm. The old ones were leaking.

We’re expecting another 4 to 5 inches of snow tonight, and another 12 to 18 on the weekend.

Running out of places to put it since shoveling it up into a pile that’s chest-high gets difficult. Luckily so far the snow blower is holding out, since we remembered to bring the batteries inside instead of leaving them sitting out in the cold. Still have to do the end of the driveway where the snowplows push everything from the road though.

Also, for the first time in the few years since we’ve lived here, the road-clearing crew actually cleared out most of the slush in the bit in front of our yard where a sidewalk would be (except for some reason our house doesn’t have a sidewalk). Normally they just clear the sidewalk down to where the sidewalk ends before our house and then bypass us and our neighbors.

Hoping they’ll keep clearing that. :crossed_fingers: Because all the stuff the snowplows push there is just too thick and heavy for us to clear.

We’re digging out from the snow yesterday; about 10 inches, and I guess we have more coming in over the weekend.

Just went out to cover the raised beds so the snow doesn’t kill my fava bean plants. They are hardy, but not THAT hardy…

Hope your pink flamingos get through this with little to no frostbite on their metal legs! :sparkling_heart:
