Now I want to modify/create my own discourse bot.
I was thinking the same thing.
I think you can probably see by now why my doing that would be a baaad idea.
I wonder how hard it would be to to use machine learning directed at all of the posts from a particular troll at the old place as the driver for a bot? Asking for a friend.

That’s actually a link to the discourse narrative bot plugin code with the main discourse code, despite the onebox.
My quick impression (with zero ruby experience) is that it doesn’t appear to be using any sort of API, but is just a plugin that hooks into various events. That is less ambition than I hoped for, but not unusable by any means.
