… so awful post-exertional migraine all today.

So I needed to schedule a neuro appointment and a couple other appointments. Because of my neuro issues I can’t use the phone. So I was instructed to come in person, and they’d sort it out at the hospital.

I came. I got chased by a dog and a running dog-keeper on my way there. I got hit with too much noise at the hospital so wasn’t able to sort everything out. I got strobed and sirened by an ambulance on the way back. And walking several miles always gives me migraines.

Any ideas what to do?

Hit by red strobe lights. Possibly ambulance. Very sick.

Does the hospital you’re trying to go to have any sort of online chat or someone you can email to work out an appointment of some kind? Can you let them know what specifically makes getting there or talking on the phone hard? Is there anyway you can get someone to act as your advocate on your behalf?

I’m supposed to have a case manager, she’d just tell me to make more pain calls. Every time I’ve tried to get help, more pai calls. Call this, call that, just call, pain, pain, pain, keep on a-paining…

Is there a friend or family member you can get to make the calls for you? That’s what I meant by an advocate. Or can a case manager come to you, maybe?

My brother might be able to help but right now we’re both overwhelmed.

there’s something firing hazard lights, so I can’t see down the street and cross safely, so I’ll have to wait for it to leave.

returns.

waits another quarter of an hour.

it’s still there.

I have to turn back.

No cut and die-cut options? And what’s the heaviest it can handle?

This fits my symptoms disturbingly well…

Helicopter buzzing neighborhood for 30 minutes so far, very loud, intense shaking.

Thursday last week, a local occupational therapist said she’d send me a questionnaire to see if she might be able to help with my sensory issues. 8 days now, don’t know when or if that will arrive. I don’t have her contact info.

That has arrived. Owing to transportation website issues, I had to reschedule from last wednesday to next monday.

The upstairs neighbors have started using exercise machines for about 50 minutes each day. That shakes everything down here, and gives me migraines and nausea.

Good luck with the O.T.!

The upstairs neighbors are shaking the building, the sidewalks outside are full of dogs, everyplace else is either closed and locked or barred with flashing lights, and I’m getting nauseous.

Thank you. I have advice on a couple vestibular exercises to begin with.

Someone is using giant flashing ads on their vending machines. I think it’s the state lottery. I want to contact my state representatives about this.

Unfortunately, when I enter my address into the statehouse’s search tool, I get an animated zooming map, and 2 possibilities. My partment is behind one of the op-ups, so if I want to check the boundaries in detail, I have to scroll over, and … as usual, scrolling triggers more painzooming painimation instead of scrolling.

The accessibility contact info isn’t accessible either.

I did find a contact email for the webmaster, so that’s step 1.

So I bought a tablet because (a) I had read that screen tech had imprived substantially, (b) I checked brightess results for its sister models, and check manuals, and it looked to have decent accessibility options, and (c ) it was steeply discounted.

Every time I try to use it, I get a terrible migraine. I have set brightess to 0%, disabled what animation I can, switched to night mode to reduce constrast between the paincursors and the background, etc. But no matter what I do, just trying to read on it is enough to trigger another nasty migraine. I want some way to read pdfs without all the headaches, but this just gives worse ones, and I may have to return it.

Now Best Buy has refunded me full price rather than the sale price. Whoops. I don’t mind if they correct that, but I do need the shipping label to return the device.

So I’m losing the use of both shoulders. Which hurts and really gets in the way.

I have a referral to see a sports medicine specialist about these injuries.

I can’t do that online, because of website issues, so I have to do that by pain call.

I then try to schedule the taxi. But it’s not letting me complete the form. And it’s got strobing web bugs and embedded Google Migraines, so if I try to scroll the page it often punches me with the painmigraine pain. I hate Google Migraines.

I have to go to technical support with another pain call. It turns out the place isn’t in their database, so no trips allowed.

I have to cancel the appointment I’ve just scheduled.
