P.S. Any idea how to treat frozen shoulders? Keeping in mind that I am allergic to nsaids and can’t do many of the stretches.
Ice for 20 minutes helps the pain. I would do it 4 or 5 times a day, when I had bad shoulder pain. I hate being cold, but it was worth it for the relief.
Physical therapy is the best, but I realize it’s not that simple, and I’m sorry our system and society make it so very difficult.
So why are these scammers still calling us?
I’m doing daily stretches, while avoiding the backpack, back-scratching, and so on which would pull one or both shoulders. Also occasional coldpacks.
Uh, no. It’s still easier to date pronunciations of “cyber.”
I go with hard K, W, soft B, so late ancient to modern. Most Americans go with S, AI, hard B, so definitely modern.
57 minutes of intense shaking. I wish I had a seismometer or seismograph. Any suggestions for a cheap and compact one?
I’d have to find the link again, but there is “citizen scientist seismograph” that uses a Raspberry Pi and had several options.
That would be the compact side of your ask, can’t remember pricing off hand though as I was just looking at the technical bits of them.
Like here? Migraine warning for cookie warning.
Okay, finally blocked the cookie warnings, it’s several hundred dollars.
Every day, the “Senior Benefits” scammers call a bit after noon, we tell them to fuck off and stop calling us, and I get an earache from the pain call.
Today I ended up vomiting from the migraine.
6 pain calls so far today.
“Medicare Advisors” this time.
They’ve previously called as “Senior Benefits,” “Medicare Enrollment,” etc. I told them to stop calling, it’s the 6th attack today, and they threatened “we are not stop calling you, okay?” I replied “that is not okay” and hung up.
Upstairs neighbors exercising. About 5 thuds a second. I feel like I’m in a drum. I can’t leave due to quarantine.
Upstairs neighbors-- maybe 2 floors removed-- drumming the building again.
Okay.
I don’t feel like I have enough hours to do what I want to do. Which makes it hard to relax, easy to stay up too long, hard to get enough sleep, and can trigger brain fog and migraines, which makes it even harder.
Instead of focusing on specific migraine triggers, I’ve started writing up a list of things I’m either having trouble doing, or get very frustrated doing. Like cooking. And research. And writing.
Also a list of projects I’d like to prioritize, just a couple dozen, and others I’ll probably put off.
My next appointment is early in January, I may bring this up then, they may have useful ideas.
In the meantime, I’m tempted to trim a lot of my gripe posts here and on my blogs.
Should I trim my gripe posts?
I realize I need to avoid dogs, because of my allergies, but I also need to avoid my panic attacks around them. I got out a couple of the Tintin books and plan to start reading them again.
One ongoing gripe.
My brother has been watching a lot of movies. So I don’t get to think clearly, or relax, or read, or watch youtube, or sleep, or much of anything, when he’s watching movies because of all the noise and shaking. I’m wearing ear protection but I don’t have adequate ear protection against the noise or any protection against the shaking. I am sick of movies and don’t know what to do.
Are you able to swaddle yourself? I’ve found that to be extremely soothing. It’s basically wrapping oneself up like a human burrito. In Japan, someone wraps one up in a fetal position and then rocks one soothingly. But geez - some of us would have trouble coming out of that, I think. At birth, one’s bones and joints are more flexible.
I can relate to the loudness because it took my son seemingly FORFUCKINGEVER to learn to NOT scream like a bitch whenever something goes wrong in a video game he’s playing, much less to figure out what the volume buttons are for. I mean, I do take into consideration his neuro-atypicalness but I also let him know that I notice when he’s trying to do better. Have you discussed it with your brother?
Good luck.
I just wrote my state representative about (a) the state lottery using flashing lights on vending machines, (b) decriminalization of crossing the street; I’m for that, (c ) the bus system using flashing lights everywhere, and (d) the statehouse’s contact system using Google Maps and inflicting animation.
I have also been struggling with newly-worsening symptoms, but from what I’ve read, there’s no transmission risk at this point.
